Maybe you're here because...
- You’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or not like yourself
- Your relationships feel strained or disconnected
- You are a high achieving woman in a leadership position trying to balance career, family and personal life with emotional regulation and strong boundaries
- You’re navigating a major life transition
- You’re carrying more than you let others see
- You’re ready for change—but not sure where to start
Whatever you’re facing, you don’t have to do it alone.
My goal is simple: to help you move through what’s hard with honesty, support, and practical tools—so you can feel more like yourself again.
Who I work with:
I support individuals who are:
- Navigating life transitions, relationship challenges, and complex emotional experiences
- Dealing with school challenges (including high school and university/college)
I work with trauma-exposed professionals (police, firefighters, physicians, nurses) who:
- Have found difficulty at work or in their relationships due to being exposed to really difficult scenarios, violence, or medical trauma—those who are constantly on-guard and in a position of authority making daily life or death decisions
I help women who are:
- In high-performance leadership positions balancing work and family, while trying to regulate their nervous system and find balance and alignment in everyday life
- Considering leaving their relationships/marriage, supporting them through the separation, parenting plan, financials, and co-parenting challenges that come post-divorce
I create a safe, supportive space for couples who:
- Have lost their connection and want to manage conflict, communication, and be closer, feel heard, and validated

What we'll work on together:
My approach is flexible, collaborative, and grounded in over 25 years of experience. I integrate a variety of evidence-based and experiential therapies to meet you where you’re at.
Our work together may include:
- Exploring patterns and “parts” of yourself (IFS)
- Building practical coping strategies (CBT, DBT)
- Processing trauma (EMDR, somatic approaches)
- Strengthening relationships (Gottman Method)
- Clarifying goals and next steps (solution-focused work)
- Incorporating mindfulness and grounding practices
- Sessions at the farm with the soothing energy of a 1,200 lb horse in a field
What this looks like:
- Honest, real conversations about what’s going on
- Practical tools you can actually use in your day-to-day life
- Support through difficult emotions and experiences
- Gentle challenge when you’re ready for growth

What clients like about me:
My clients appreciate my honesty and directness—paired with warmth, understanding, and a sense of humour (yes, sometimes with an F-bomb). I’m someone who will sit with you in the hard moments without flinching, while also helping you move forward in a real, practical way.
Things I won’t do when you work with me:
- I won't sugarcoat things if honesty is needed.
- I won't leave you sitting in something heavy without support.
- I won't take a one-size-fits-all approach.
- I won't expect perfection—you get to show up as you are.
How I got here:
As the founder of BeWell Therapy, I bring over 25 years of experience supporting individuals across a wide range of settings. Before private practice, I spent 15 years in leadership roles within community-based care, hospitals, and postsecondary education.
I currently teach in the Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) program at Trent University and I remain committed to ongoing learning and growth in my field. My work has always been driven by a desire to support people through real-life challenges in a way that is both practical and deeply human.
Outside of providing therapy to my amazing clients, I am married to my husband and partner in life, and mother to two daughters. I give back to my community by volunteering in various community organizations. I also love to play volleyball and going on walks with my Australian Sheppard, Sadie.
