The Spring Awakening

As the season shifts, so should our energy. Learn how to use expansive breathwork to clear out thoughts and emotions that no longer serve you and revitalize your system in a guided, supportive group setting. Breathwork facilitator Mike Woodcock will lead you through active breathing patterns that help unlock stagnant energy, leaving you feeling refreshed, vibrant, and ready to take on the rest of the month with a renewed sense of purpose.

About Mike:

Mike came to breathwork through his own search for a deeper way to meet the mind and body. It became a practice that helped him release long-held tension and reconnect with a part of himself that he didn’t even realize he had lost. The impact was strong enough that he felt called to learn how to guide others through the same experience. He has trained as a breathwork facilitator with Unity Breathwork, focusing on Trauma-informed Conscious Connected Breathwork, with a focus on the relationship between breath, emotion, and the nervous system.

He works with people who are curious about exploring their inner landscape, whether they’re hoping to release stored emotion, regulate their system, or reconnect with themselves in a grounded and embodied way.

What to Expect: Your First Breathwork Session

What exactly is “trauma-informed” breathwork? It means your safety and autonomy come first. Mike provides a supportive environment where you are always in control of your experience. There is no “right” way to breathe, and you are encouraged to listen to your body’s signals above all else.

What does it feel like? While everyone’s journey is different, many people experience a sense of deep physical relaxation, emotional release, or mental clarity. You might feel tingling in the body or a shift in temperature. By moving beyond the “thinking” brain, you allow your nervous system to process stress and tension naturally.

Do I need any prior experience? Not at all. These sessions are designed for everyone, from complete beginners to seasoned practitioners. Mike will guide you through the technique step-by-step.

What should I bring with me? To make your experience as comfortable as possible, we recommend bringing:

  • Comfortable, loose clothing—anything that doesn’t restrict your breathing.
  • A water bottle for afterward.

Is there a lot of talking involved? The focus is on “presence over pressure.” While Mike will provide guidance and there is space for brief sharing at the end for those who wish, the bulk of the session is a private, internal experience. You won’t be put on the spot.

Note: If you have any specific medical conditions (such as cardiovascular issues, high blood pressure, or are currently pregnant), please feel free to have a quick chat with Mike before the session begins so he can offer any necessary modifications.
